Privacy Policy
This privacy policy is applicable to the Telic app (hereinafter referred to as "Application") for all supported platforms (including mobile, desktop, and web), which was developed by Petr Bína (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is provided "AS IS".
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
User Provided Information
The Application acquires limited information when you download and register the Application. Registration with the Service Provider is not mandatory. However, bear in mind that you might not be able to utilize some of the features offered by the Application unless you register with them.
Specifically, the Application collects ONLY the following user-provided information:
- Google Account ID: Derived from the ID token provided by Google Sign-In authentication (specifically, the base64-decoded second part of the ID token). This identifier is used solely for user authentication, account identification, and linking subscription data across devices through RevenueCat.
The Application does NOT collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or other personal identifiers
- Payment information (handled directly by Apple/Google)
- Precise location data
- Your complete productivity data (data is stored locally on your device and/or in your personal Google Drive)
- Your browsing history or activity outside the Application
The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
User Data Storage
The Application is designed with privacy and user control as core principles:
Local Storage: Your productivity data (tasks, habits, journals, reminders, statistics, and other information you input) is stored locally on your device. This data is NOT encrypted on the local device. This data is under your complete control.
Backup and Sync Behavior: When you sync your data, new backup copies replace previous backup copies. Only the current state of your data is maintained in backups; previous versions are not retained. This means backups always reflect your most recent data.
Google Drive Integration (Optional): You have the option to sync your productivity data to your personal Google Drive account. This synchronization uses the Google Drive API with your explicit permission and stores your data in YOUR personal Google Drive account (not on our servers). You manage who can access your Google Drive.
Important: The Service Provider does not store or have access to your productivity data. It resides only on your device and/or in your personal Google Drive account.
Automatically Collected InformationIn addition to the Google Account ID described above, the Application may collect certain technical information automatically for analytics and service improvement purposes, including, but not limited to:
- The type of mobile device you use
- Your mobile device's unique device ID
- The IP address of your mobile device
- Your mobile operating system
- The type of mobile Internet browsers you use
- Information about the way you use the Application (general usage patterns)
This technical information is collected to help improve the Application's performance and functionality.
Subscription and Purchase Data
The Application uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat receives only the following information:
- Your Google Account ID (to distinguish users and enable subscription transfer across devices)
RevenueCat does NOT receive:
- Your name or personal information
- Payment information (Apple and Google handle all payments)
- Your productivity data
- Your Google Drive access information

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?
This Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. Your productivity data is never shared with third parties. Your Google Account ID is only shared with RevenueCat for subscription management purposes.
The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
- Google Play Services
- Google Drive API
- Google Gemini (Generative AI) (Used only when you explicitly use AI features. When you do, your query and selected in-app data (such as tasks, habits, journals, reminders, and related context like current time and AI settings) may be sent to Google Gemini for processing. By default, most data types are enabled to improve answer quality, but you can turn individual categories on or off at any time in the AI settings.)
- RevenueCat
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Data Minimization
The Service Provider follows the principle of data minimization. The only personally identifiable information collected directly by the Service Provider is your Google Account ID, which is used exclusively for user authentication, account identification, and linking subscription data across devices. We do not collect your name, address, phone number, email address, payment card information, precise location, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily provide it when contacting support.
What are my opt-out rights?
You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data (your Google Account ID) for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter to maintain subscription data.
Your Productivity Data: Retained indefinitely as long as you choose to keep it on your device and/or in your personal Google Drive account. You control the retention of this data.
Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time within the Application settings.
Using the "Delete Account" feature will permanently revoke the Application's access to your
Google Drive, delete all local data, and disconnect your identity from our system.
Important: Because the Application is non-custodial (we do not have servers storing your files),
using "Delete Account" cannot delete files that you have already synced to your personal Google Drive. You must
manually delete those files from your Google Drive if you wish to remove them.
Backup Data: Backup copies are automatically replaced when new syncs occur. Only the current state of your data is retained; previous versions are not kept.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their records. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (contact@telic.dev) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized personnel who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve the Application.
Important Note on Local Data: Your productivity data stored locally on your device is NOT encrypted. If your device is compromised, this data may be accessible to attackers. Consider the security implications when storing sensitive information in the Application.
Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches. Additionally, since your productivity data is stored in your personal Google Drive account, the security of that data is also governed by Google's security practices.
Your Rights Under GDPR (For EU Users)
If you are located in the European Union, you have the right under certain circumstances:
- Right of Access: to be provided with a copy of your personal data held by us (limited to your Google Account ID and associated records).
- Right to Rectification: to request the rectification of your personal data.
- Right to Erasure: to request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to Restriction: to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.
- Right to Object: to object to the further processing of your personal data.
- Right to Data Portability: to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Know: You have the right to request information about the personal information we collect (limited to Google Account ID), use, and disclose.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt-out of the sharing of personal information (Note: We do not share personal information beyond RevenueCat for subscription management).
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
This privacy policy is effective as of November 12, 2025
Your Consent
By using the Application, you are giving your consent to the Service Provider's processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing" means using information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information.
